25 to Life: A Message to My Haters

25 to Life: A Message to My Haters

Hi Friends! Great to see you back here for another week of The Bachelor. The girls travel the 17 hours (YIKES) to Singapore on their first traveling trip of the season.

Time with Taysha

Colton and Taysha spend their first 1:1 date jumping off of a building. How exciting. The show always does the same dates: the walk and talk date, the beach date, and the adrenaline rush date. This was a chance for the two of them to bond over a shared experience. The date went amazing and it gave Taysha the push to tell Colton about her divorce. He, the consummate gentleman, was unfazed by her revelation and gave her the date rose.

Group Date Walk and Talk

Colton and the other one million girls on the show went on a classic walk and talk street food date. Demi made her mark and her mark made Courtney super upset. For some reason, Courtney thought Colton should come to her. What Courtney also forgot is that she is on The Bachelor, not The Bachelorette. As a result, Demi tries to encourage Courtney to go get her man. This encouragement spirals into madness. Demi tells her tragic story about her mom being in federal prison and she gets the rose.

Chatting with Caelynn

There is a lot to snark on and be catty about with this show, and The Bachelor has done their fair share of exploiting contestants for their experiences. This was not that moment. During the evening portion of Caelynn’s date she told Colton about her sexual assault. It was necessary for her relationship to move forward and for her to open herself up to a full relationship with him. I think this was handled extremely well by a show that I pretty much never have faith in. Colton handled the news extremely well and like a gentleman. His own story about his virginity now has a more complete picture and Caelynn is that much stronger for speaking her experience and giving a voice to those who have gone through the same thing.

We lost Courtney and Tracy this week and next week we go to Thailand for some more mess.

Enjoy,

Taylor
