Bougie On A Budget: Starbucks

Bougie On A Budget: Starbucks

Any coffee lovers out there? We’re pretty much addicted to Starbucks but it sucks our wallets dry! Who needs that in this economy? NOT US! We found a way to help you save some serious cash and still get your Starbucks fix!

A grande vanilla latte will run you anywhere between $4.25 to $5 depending on if it’s iced or if you choose to have soy milk. That’s a lot of money just for coffee! And a lot of calories. $5 dollars x 5 days a week is $25 per week, $100 per month, and $1,200 per year! Does that put it in perspective for you?

Here are some tips to save the calories and save some cash:

1) Get a regular coffee with a splash of soy (or milk) and ONE pump sugar-free vanilla. Total cost? Less than $2.50! That’s half of what you would normally spend if you got a latte and more than half the calories.

2) Brew your coffee at home! Buy Starbucks brew for like 10 bucks and brew at home most of the week. The GMM team tries to be dairy-free, so we also stock up on almond milk to use instead.

3) Make Starbucks a thing that you do twice a week to treat yourself. You’ll appreciate it more when you treat yourself and you’ll be saving $20/week, $80/month and $960/year! That’s a nice vacation right there!

If you have any tips, feel free to post a comment! Or if you want us to find a way to help you save money on certain things, let us know!

Happy drinking our fellow caffeine addicts 😉
