If you’ve been following me on Instagram, you know I recently worked on a short called “The Brittany Show,” written and starring one of my favorite people, Brittany Fields.
“The Brittany Show” explores the unraveling of an unstable girl before an important audition to jumpstart her acting career. Throughout the course of her day, Brittany struggles with multiple images of beauty and womanhood from her celebrity and pop culture obsessed upbringing.
We are taking this to the film festivals in 2018, and while we work on getting the film finished, Nasser Samara directed the film and cut the trailer. Not to be biased, but it is pretty dope!
Here’s a little background on the team:
Brittany Fields, Nasser Samara, Sean Bloom (music), and I all went to Palisades Charter High School together. We were all in the drama department – Nasser and I were even drama department rivals! We put all the drama aside because, duh, the only drama we should have is in the movie. Working with the whole cast and crew has been a complete pleasure. It’s really something else when you’ve known your colleagues in your ugly stages of life AKA high school.
