DRY brushing is one of the hottest beauty trends (and yes, I love it), but let’s not forget about WET brushing.
Wet brushing, which prepares the skin for better product absorption of moisturizers and beauty products, is just as important as dry brushing. Our skin is our largest organ and we have to treat it kindly so it remains healthy and youthful!
My newest and favorite obsession is my OctoVie ® skincare brush! This little “Smart Phone” of skincare delivers a unique 3-in-1 beauty benefit. It cleanses, exfoliates and massages all at the same time. There is no need for facecloths, cleansing brushes and/or loofahs.
I met the Founder, Pamela Auger, at an Oscars event and instantly fell in love with her product. I saw results as soon as she used the brush on me and knew I had to collaborate with her brand as soon as possible.
I had no idea loofahs were sprayed with harmful chemicals (Proposition 65-CA law) until I spoke about the benefits of wet brushing everyday with OctoVie’s creator Pamela Auger.
Pamela Auger, a breast cancer survivor, is on a mission to educate people about clean beauty skincare. She created the OctoVie Skincare Brush as part of this message.
How to Wet Brush:
Brush while you’re in the shower or tub! Or, use your favorite skincare products and brush in simple circular motions. I like to do this with a good moisturizer or serum. It feels like a massage and the results are amazing.
How to Dry Brush:
You can also brush DRY before showering or after you have toweled off. It is best to dry brush the body skin in the morning 2-3x per week before showering to stimulate blood circulation and remove dead skin layers. Use a quick, gentle-gliding movement, upward towards the heart, best to start with your feet. Your stomach/groin area and sides of the neck, are the only exceptions, as they should be brushed downward.
