ListenUp: Odie

ListenUp: Odie

I’d like to call today Mora Music Monday! Our latest ListenUp: artist is one you will want to play for the rest of the fall season. Check him out!

Odie

Little Lies

If you’ve been following me on Twitter, you know I haven’t been streaming anything but Ella Mai’s new album. HOWEVER, I took a quick break from her to look out for some new music and came across Nigerian-Canadian artist, Odie. Some say his music is hip hop based, but his ocean-like and atmospheric melodies can definitely put you in a trance. I got lost in “Little Lies.” He definitely is not what I would consider traditional hip hop, but in a world where every artist is mixing different genres and sounds, Odie has made his voice distinct.

I will be playing Odie on the cozy nights coming this fall, with the fire place lit, lots of wine, and good food cooking on the stove. That’s the kind of vibe his music puts me in: relaxed and content. And who doesn’t want that when the weather gets colder and the nights are longer?
