Mallorca: The Island In Spain You HAVE To Visit

Mallorca: The Island In Spain You HAVE To Visit

Mallorca, also spelled Majorca, is an island in Spain that tends to get overlooked. Barcelona is cool and all, but everyone’s been there and done that. I guarantee you Mallorca will start to get as much traction as Marbella does – even though Marbella is not an island.

We stayed at the ME Hotel in Mallorca, which was really nice and perfect for those looking to party. The rooms were nice and clean, the pool was great, and the breakfast was delicious every morning. I will say, however, that when I go back to Mallorca, I will be staying somewhere in the heart of a town called Palma instead of near Calvia.

The ME is located near the party scene, and there’s not much to see around it. The little beaches 30 minutes to an hour away are worth renting a car for. The beach near the ME reminded me of Santa Monica. So that was a hard no for me.

There are so many hidden gems around Palma De Mallorca. Once you go into the town, you really feel like you’ve been transported somewhere else. I loved getting off the paths because the roads were so cute.

We had dinner at The Belmond after visiting a nearby private beach – I can only imagine it’s what Tuscany feels like.

My two fave beaches for you to check out:

Urbanización Cala Pi

Serra De Tramuntana (Deià)

And for all of you Coyote Ugly lovers out there: I found one!!! They let me get on the bar and everything. It was magical. I was living all of my 2000s dreams. The Coyote Ugly is in Magaluf in the middle of all the bars. Beware: there are a lot of 18 year old drunks running amok.

Let me know if you’ve ever been to Mallorca!
