So much has been happening and I can’t wait to slowly reveal everything going on within the next few months. With everything in the pipeline, it got me thinking about how my life has changed over the past year and it kind of hit me that we all have the power to change things up when life just isn’t working out for us.
*Cue in today’s MORAvational Monday post*
There is so much power in just being YOU.
Oftentimes we get caught up with trying to keep up with the Jones’ (or the Kardashian’s for that matter) that we forget to keep up with ourselves! It slips our minds that if we just remember to mentally check in with ourselves, we could just as easily BE the Jones’ instead of trying to keep up with them.
The truth is, YOU are the only person who can make your life better.
We find comfort in our routines and run away from anything that resembles some kind of change. I get it, change is freaking scary. A year and a half ago, I was scared to put myself out there, take chances/risks, and to be honest, I wasn’t genuinely happy. I realized there’s only one way for things to be different: I have to be different in my approach.
In order to get something you’ve never had, you have to do something you’ve never done.
That quote kept me going. I kept it on a post-it on my desk at work and looked at it every single day to remind myself to keep going. And little by little, things got easier. My business has never been better, I haven’t been this happy in 2 years, and for the first time in a long time, I’m at peace with where my life is going. I’ve accepted who I am – flaws and all – and have never been more comfortable in my own skin. Once I was able to find the beauty in just being me, the uphill battle got a little less steep.
You are powerful and you are capable of getting whatever it is you want out of life. But you need to do the work to get there. Complaining and just talking about it isn’t going to produce results – actions will.
Get rid of the hate or anger in your heart, stop the negative chatter in your head, and find what feeds your soul.
I promise you you’ll see results in no time.
