After my interview with Alana Sue, we planned a photoshoot where I agreed to letting her dress me up in her clothes and make me a real New York City girl. I was so nervous! I’ve grown up in front of a camera my whole life, but lately I’ve felt so awkward taking pictures. Alana gave me some tips to share with you on how to look and feel your best in front of the camera:
1) It’s not about how you look, it’s about how you feel. If you’re confident and feel good, you’ll automatically take a better photo.
2) Ladies, put some high heels on! Once I put some heels on, my pictures came out completely different. I felt sexy and therefore my pictures were better.
3) Know your angles. When you know what angles look best, you can adjust accordingly.
4) Loosen up! If you’re feeling stiff, you’ll look it on camera. Relax and have fun!
Alana picked out a few outfits for me that I would NEVER wear, made me a semi-blondie and started snapping! I adore her fashion sense and knew she was going to make me look good. From a one-of-a-kind Lakers jersey jacket to a Friday the 13th outfit to crop tops and bras — she dressed me in all of it. These are some of my absolute favorite pictures I’ve ever taken! Thank you Alana for such a fun weekend and for getting me out of my conservative fashion shell! I love the new steez you gave me. Also a very special thank you to my friend Desiree who was our photo assistant/my moral support during the shoot! xo NM
