Nic’s Pick for LA Foodies: Art’s Table (Santa Monica)

Nic’s Pick for LA Foodies: Art’s Table (Santa Monica)

Santa Monica is one of, if not my #1, my favorite places in LA. Montana Avenue has a bunch of cute restaurants and little shops waiting to be explored. While the boutiques and restaurants can get pricey, I found a semi- affordable (for dinner) yummy little corner restaurant that is good for every type of foodie: [typography font=”Cantarell” size=”15″ size_format=”px” color=”#ff6666″]Art’s Table! [/typography]

We were just two people not looking to eat really heavy but still wanting a bit of everything, so here’s what we ordered:

 • Pomme Frites
 • Beet Salad
 • Roasted Baby Carrots
 • 2 Green Teas
 • Berry Dessert (special)

Our bill with tax and tip was no more than $25/person! Remember, dinner menus in Los Angeles are quite expensive and an average dinner will run you at least $35 without drinks or dessert.

For appetizers we started with the baby carrots and fries. The carrots were good, but I think next time I will go with the roasted root veggies instead. By now, you now I’m a french fry lover, and I’m happy to report the fries were delicious. The beet salad was also great with the goat cheese; I wish there would have been more beets and goat cheese, less quinoa — that could just be a personal preference though.

The dessert special was the perfect ending to a somewhat healthy meal. Thankfully, we only had one so it gave us each a few bites, which was just the right amount.

We loved the staff + service and know you will too. Also, since it’s summer, I recommend sitting outside because the weather is nice and there are heaters in case you get a bit cold. It’s a great lunch spot as well if you want to soak up as much sun as possible!

You can find the website for Art’s Table here. Browse the menus and bon appetite!
