A Quick Trip To New York City (Travel Guide)

I just came back from a quick trip to New York City! I love the city that never sleeps, and for someone who goes at least once a year, it’s always fun to discover new places there.

I wanted to share the fun spots I went on my trip to help you plan your next one! I frequent New York City, so this is a quick guide and I’ll make new ones from here on out to keep you up to date.

Hotel:

The William Vale

I’ve got to admit, I hadn’t been to Brooklyn in YEARS. Williamsburg has done a complete 180. It is so trendy, and honestly, it’s cleaner than the city. When I checked into the room at The William Vale, I felt right at home. It was so glam and the view was unreal. Equipped with a balcony and chairs, the setting is perfect to watch the sunset on a summer night. The rooms are a good size and super clean. It’s a 15 minute subway into the city or a quick Uber. The hotel is also situated walking distance to so many cute cafes. You can head to the rooftop bar at night for a fun night out. I really recommend this hotel for the young and trendy crowd. It was amazing.

Restaurants:

Sunday In Brooklyn

Go here for brunch in Brooklyn and sit outside. I ordered the cheesy eggs and they were fluffy perfection.

Jack’s Wife Freda

I love their SoHo location for breakfast, but there are 3 in New York City. Order the Green Shakshuka, Grilled Haloumi and a side of French Fries.

Sadelle’s

Go here for breakfast and get the Sadelle’s tower. You can thank me later.

La Esquina

New York City’s Mexican food is nothing like LA’s, but this place is always lit and the food is good. Get a couple bites and share. I loved the street corn and chicken tacos.

L’Artusi

Great place for a nice date night or for a more high-end Italian dinner. We did a ricotta, crudo, pasta, and 2 sides for 2 people and could have easily fed another 2 people. Everything we had was delicious.

Vandal

Vandal is an awesome spot for a yummy and happening dinner. Make your reservations for after 9. The drinks are very good and the plates are all shareable. If you’re in New York City with a party of over 4, this place is especially accommodating!
