Summer Days With Dr Pepper And Walmart

Summer Days With Dr Pepper And Walmart

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Dr Pepper®. The opinions and text are all mine.

I can’t think of summer days without sun, good friends, and Dr Pepper. There’s something about that combo that reminds me of my childhood – days where our biggest concern was what game we wanted to play outside.

You may remember that last year I teamed up with Dr Pepper and Walmart to throw an Instagram worthy pool party (click here to view). This year, I wanted to create something fun that would incorporate the indoor and outdoor flow of my house. Some people worship the sun, and some prefer to be inside where  it’s air conditioned.

As a host, I really try to cater to everyone and get everyone’s needs met as much as I can! By creating a little drink station outside, it forces people to get some air and socialize, while I leave the food inside. Pair with some great tunes and you are good to go!

Anytime I throw a party, I always head to Walmart because it really is a one-stop shop and everything is so affordable. You can get party decorations, drinks, food, you name it, Walmart has it and it’s #BougieOnABudget. Seriously a life saver, money saver and time saver.

The first thing I do is stock up on drinks. Real talk, I never throw a party without Dr Pepper. Their Pick Your Pepper packaging during the summer is awesome! You know I have to support things that are designed for millennials BY millennials. It’s fun and  keeps the original theme of the Dr Pepper branding we all know and love.

Now that the drinks, food, and decorations are squared away, the only thing needed is a good speaker to play music on. Dr Pepper sent me a cute little speaker and it was the perfect accessory to my outdoor vibe. If you have a BBQ area, it would also be super cute to throw some steaks and chicken wings on the grill so guests can go from the drink station and socialize back and forth outdoors.

You too can get your own speaker or other fun prizes this summer! Here is how to enter to win:

When you buy Dr Pepper 6/15/18-8/15/18 this summer, you can upload your receipt at www.drpepper.com/walmart  to get the prize featured in my blog here and/or other prizes like:

Spend $5 get 5 bottles = Dr Pepper Retro Specs

Spend $10 get 10 bottles = Dr Pepper Copper Lined Mug

Spend $20 get 20 bottles = Dr Pepper Bluetooth Speakers

Spend $30 get 30 bottles = Dr Pepper Pool Float

Upload your images to Instagram also so I can see them! Tag #PickYourPepper and #Walmart.

For my drinks station, I filled a cooler with Dr Pepper, Diet Dr Pepper, water, some other drinks and tons of ice. You can get creative and empty one can of Dr Pepper and one can of Diet Dr Pepper (pour into a pitcher or separate cup to serve with ice cream later!) and leave the empty cans on the table like I did as a display of what’s in the cooler.

It was such a fun day of sipping on Dr Pepper, munching, and enjoying friends on a nice Sunday afternoon in the summer. For me, that’s the best way to do a Sunday funday! Walmart makes things so easy for you to quickly throw together a fun get together and Dr Pepper always makes everything that much sweeter.

I can’t wait to see the ways you #PickYourPepper!
