This post is sponsored by WE tv for Growing Up Hip Hop: Atlanta. All opinions are my own.
As your resident TV addict, I have to tell you about my latest obsession on WE tv. With all of the traveling I’ve been doing, I’ve needed to get into new shows while on flights and reality is always my go-t0.
I came across Growing Up Hip Hop: Atlanta and I’m hooked. As if I needed another show to be addicted to.
The hip hop scene in Atlanta is so prevalent that it only makes sense to do a series surrounding the kids of major music players. The new season stars Bow Wow (real name: Shad Moss) and that alone is enough to get me to watch. I’ve had a crush on Bow Wow since I was in middle school! His girlfriend, Kiyomi, is also now a regular on the show and I can’t grasp how I feel about her yet. Too early to tell, but so far, I’m not LOVING her.
Growing Up Hip Hop: Atlanta also stars Shaniah Mauldin (daughter of Jermaine Dupri), Ayana Fite (daughter of DJ Hurricane), Masika Kalysha (recording artist) and Lil Mama (recording artist). With these current cast members, the series is nothing short of drama and good music. With supporting cast members Da Brat and Jermaine Dupri himself, I can’t stop watching.
Whether you’re a hip hop music lover, curious about the ATL, or you just love reality TV, you’ll enjoy this show. I watched 5 episodes back to back of season 2 without even realizing.
You can catch a new episode of Growing Up Hip Hop: Atlanta every Thursday at 9/8c. I’d love it if you’d live tweet and/or Instagram story with me using the hashtag #GUUPATL! Be sure to tag WE tv as well.
Let me know what you think! I’ll be watching every week.
