The Participation Trophy: Battling Stereotypes

The Participation Trophy: Battling Stereotypes

It has been awhile, my loves! I’m sorry, I will fill you in with all that has been happening soon! This week, we released episode TWO of TPT and the topic is all about battling stereotypes.

Millennials sure do get tons of different stereotypes and, to be honest, I’m over it. A little bit ago, I had someone I considered a close friend call me the E word. Entitled. It is no secret that if someone tries to come at me saying I am entitled, I will go full on Kanye on them real quick, right quick. Being called entitled is not something I’m often called – especially in business. This prompted me to create an episode revolving around the different stereotypes our generation faces. Mainly, entitlement.

As you can see, this comment really got to me. In 2017, women are allowed to stand up and vocalize what they feel they deserve. I won’t apologize for that. That person is no longer in my life in a close way and that’s the way it goes around here. I have worked my whole life – I have always had a job – and at this point, I know what I bring to the table as a business woman. Don’t come to my table to eat if you’re not going to say thank you after I’ve served you a meal. End of story.

So, are we or aren’t we entitled as a generation? Does not settling for what we deserve make us entitled? What stereotypes have you faced? Sound off in the comments below or under the Youtube video! Be sure to subscribe to the Give Me Mora Youtube channel and get social with us!

Don’t forget to check out my two awesome guests!
