It’s been 3 months since we first got our new puppy, Bronx. Training a puppy and adjusting to a new routine has been challenging, but I can’t imagine life without Bronx now!
Is this what it’s like to have a child?! Because if so, I’m doomed.
I’m always worrying and making sure Bronx is okay. Has he been fed? Did he pee in the house again? What item of mine did he chew up today? Does he need to go on a walk?
The one thing I have been worrying about this summer though, is his body temperature. Our last dog was a Bijon Frise and we never had to worry about whether he was too hot in the summer or too cold in the winter. Now that we have a Husky mix, I have been struggling!
Los Angeles is pretty warm all year round, but summertime (which lasts 4 months for us) can be REALLY hot. Our air conditioning is always on and we always make sure to give Bronx plenty of water/ice.
However, when we are not home, there’s not much anyone can really do.
I came across a company called Pup Alert, which now solves this problem! Pup alert is a device that connects to your cell phone, and alerts you when your pup’s temperature hits dangerously high or low levels.
Whether you’ve got an RV puppy, competition dog, or even just a house dog, Pup Alert is a necessity for any dog mama. If I’m on set, or my parents are at the office, I now feel much more comfortable leaving my puppy at home. If our air conditioning for some reason breaks and our house becomes too hot, I’ll get an alert on my phone immediately.
It doesn’t get absurdly cold out in LA, but if you’re a dog parent living in colder temps, Pup Alert will also notify you if the temperature gets too cold!
Pup Alert is a win-win for me and I can’t imagine any parent not wanting to use this.
